Overview

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Antonio Mercero’s name has now been added to the list of great Spanish detective novels alongside Lorenzo Silva and Dolores Redondo.

Having recently returned to the force after a sex reassignment operation, Sofía Luna is forced to investigate a mysterious case. Who is this serial killer that takes his victims, all Japanese women, from the tourist center of Madrid? All the clues seem to point towards the peculiar world of organized tourism and most peculiar of all, that of asexual people, a group that rejects the hypersexuality of modern life.

Luna and her team, which is joined by a Japanese translator who is looking for something other than to help, will have to work under great media pressure, especially after the Japanese ambassador’s daughter disappears.

Then another case is added to this one, which seems impossible to solve, and the new one strikes inspector Luna in the most personal way: her father, whom she has not spoken to for years, has killed a man, supposedly in self-defense. The investigation then begins to reveal surprising details.

“Ideal for readers in search of detective novels starring unique detectives ... A clear and direct writing style with a great ability to grasp the reader.” - Lluís Fernández, La Razón
