  1. All Aboard! Changing Lives through Literacy at LCAP! 5 Star Review

Posted by on Oct 27th 2016

Lakeshore CAP is a non-profit that serves low-income families with vulnerable children in Manitowoc, WI. Every year, we host a special event during the Holiday season, where families from our various programs are invited to participate and, as part of the magic of the Holiday Season, they receive a copy of Chris Van Allsburg's The Polar Express. We strongly believe in the ability of literacy to change a child's future, and placing books into the hands of these families is one way to encourage reading together. It is very rewarding to see families getting excited about books and reading!
