Angela Hubbs of Centennial School District in Portland, OR!

As the Director of Curriculum and Student Learning for Centennial School District, serving the Gresham/Portland area which includes 10 schools and approximately 6,300 students, Angela has the honor of organizing various curricula.

Think of her as the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain, making important decisions from which grades will be reading what books, to how each curriculum is structured in general!

With her $500, Angela was able to order 50+ copies of Into the Wild - an intense and interesting choice that engages high school readers with its air of mystery.

“It’s very important for us as a district to be able to provide students and teachers with books to support their learning”, Angela told Bulk Bookstore. 

She continued: “We use a balanced literary model, and students need to access a robust selection of books both at their independent and instructional reading levels."

Angela is an educator on the rise, ready to take students and teachers to the next level of their learning experiences.
