This volume compiles the complete short stories of Elena Garro, including two previously unpublished pieces, with a prologue by Geney Beltrán. After Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Mexican literature was relatively barren until well into the 19th century, and even then continued to be lacking in works created by women... until Elena Garro came on the scene.
