After his mother’s murder, constantly reliving frightening scenes, Mateu Garriga, along with his brother, Gabriel, are welcomed by his uncle Ernest’s family. They will both grow upin a ferocious Barcelona,withan uncertain future, and forge their own fate as workers in a textile factory. Gabriel will fool around with syndicalism and violent groups, and Mateu will get involved in a series of situations that will lead tohimcommitting a heinous crime. He, a righteous man with strict principles, will end up becoming a gunfighter.
In the years of syndical struggle, gun law, and political repression, which meant a blood bath for the city, the Garriga brothers will not be able to elude the violence Barcelona is engulfed in, and revenge will be the only path to redemption.
