Costa del Sol, 1963. Her heart broken, Maite flees her hometown of Oviedo after her fiancé pressures her to have an abortion. She decides to keep the baby and start life over again in the south. In Torremolinos, she takes a job as a receptionist at the Pez Espada, the famous luxury hotel known for hosting celebrities such as Ava Gardner, Sean Connery and Frank Sinatra. In this new, hedonistic and glamourous atmosphere, Maite begins to dream of being the mistress of her own destiny. She moves to Marbella and enters the world of business and nightlife....
