The new school year is in full swing, and for high school students getting ready to take one of the most important exams of their lives, SAT preparation season has begun. This is one of those tests you can’t exactly prepare for in any of your high school classes, yet one that demands a significant amount of attention.

The SATs are essentially, the make or break factor in any student’s college application process.

No pressure.

The book specialists at Bulk Bookstore believe that a little preparation goes a long way when it comes to studying for the SATs. How much time should one motivated college-hopeful dedicate to studying for the SAT exam? Well, since every student has different study habits, the recommended average amount of study time for the SAT is ten hours – if you’re a “do the bare minimum” kind of person. In fact, it’s highly advised that if you can’t devote at least ten hours to studying for the SAT, you should probably not consider taking it.

The real magic happens when you hit the 40-hour mark of studying. And if you join a college preparation course or boot camp? You’ll likely be logging in up to 100 hours of face-in-book time, but all for a good cause, of course!
