On the first evening of Winter at the Windy Dog pub, Landlady Betty Grainger, as always, is set to mark the start of the Causton village festivities. But when the lights switch on to kick off the celebrations, things do not go to plan. At least not for Trevor Kennedy, whose death certificate marks him as the first person in the area to die when a Christmas light exploded in their face. The further problem is: he might not be the last. Who could have done it?
