Charles Perrault was the first to soften the harshness of these oral versions and compile them under the title Tales of Mother Goose, which we collect here. This volume includes the following stories: Sleeping Beauty of the Forest, Little Red Riding Hood, Bluebeard, Puss in Boots, The Fairies, Cinderella, Riquette with the Tuft, Tom Thumb and Donkey Skin.
