El doctor Lázaro Alvarado, quien posee información confidencial contra los intereses de una poderosa empresa farmacéutica, es asesinado. Leandro, un joven utópico periodista italiano que llega al norte de México con el deseo de conocer a profundidad la realidad del país, se ve envuelto en una investigación del caso. Conoce así a Bart, un gringo sin escrúpulos, con rasgos mexicanos, marcado por un pasado hostil y sórdido, entablan una excéntrica relación. Poco a poco no sólo se irá desenredando la trama de corrupción en la que están coludidos el gobierno y varias compañías de reputación dudosa, si no que además Leandro y Bart protagonizarán una serie de transformaciones en lo más profundo de sí mismos.

Dr. Lázaro Alvarado, who possesses confidential information against the interests of a powerful pharmaceutical company, is assassinated. Leandro, a young utopian Italian journalist who came to northern Mexico with the desire to understand in depth the reality of the country, is involved in the case’s investigation. Thus, he meets Bart, an unscrupulous gringo, with Mexican features. Marked by a hostile and sordid past, they establish an eccentric relationship. Little by little, not only will the corruption plot, which involves the government and several companies with dubious reputations, begin to unravel, but Leandro and Bart will become stars in a series of transformations deep within themselves.”
