Overview
The first-ever pickleball-themed cozy mystery series serves up a killer game!
A poisoned smoothie, a suspicious seaside pickleball club, and a court full of potential killers turn a former New Yorker’s fresh start on Cape Cod into a murder investigation in this wildly original new cozy mystery series from New York Times bestselling author Zac Bissonnette.
Ellen never expected the guy who broke her heart 20 years ago to offer her a job on Cape Cod, where she grew up. Following a colorful career in pro hockey, Paul has traded pucks for plastic balls and teaches at the oceanfront SeaPickle club. Struggling to recover from a career flame-out in New York City, Ellen is happy for any job—and pickleball on the Cape seems like a soft landing, even if seeing Paul stirs up long-buried yearning.
But her sweet gig takes a turn when a member gets hurt and threatens to sue. Hoping to make peace, Ellen goes to his motel—only to find him dead with a Court Cooler, the club’s signature smoothie, spilled beside his corpse.
The discovery that the smoothie was poisoned gives everyone on the SeaPickle's staff a motive. Ellen and Paul must couple up again as a doubles team to prove their innocence, catch the culprit in their net, and see that justice is served . . .
