One cold February afternoon, two workers uncover human remains under the snow in Salgueiro, an abandoned village in Xurés Natural Park. Of the nine victims found there, the most recent was buried only two weeks before. The bodies are arranged in the shape of a star with a circle drawn around it.
The main local paper sends Fina, a recent journalism graduate, to cover the story. But Arturo León, a powerful and unprincipled businessman, has ordered the road to Salgueiro closed to prevent news about the gruesome discovery, which could affect his real estate ventures. Fina’s investigation reveals new information about a series of brutal murders committed in the area in the 1960s, linking three solitary individuals in a quest to expose abuse of power and an unknown killer.
