If the legends are to be believed, the famous Basque designer observed the proceedings through a discrete peephole in the thick velvet curtains that decorated his mansion. Few photos of him exist, and rumors have even circulated that the invisible man of the world of haute couture was an invented character, nothing more than a clever marketing strategy.
