Missing for almost two centuries, it is said to impart to the drinker secrets of existential importance for humanity. Víctor embarks on an uncertain and perilous journey that will take him from the vineyards of Priorat in Spain to remotest Turkestan, with stops in Paris, Saint Petersburg and the Tuscan hills.
Soon enough, Víctor realizes that he isn’t the only one after the precious bottle. Hot on his heels is Sofía, a neuropsychiatrist convinced that the wine has consciousness-altering properties. Nor has it escaped the notice of powerful pharmaceutical companies, corporate interests and organizations with more esoteric aims, all engaged in a ruthless race to get to it first.
