Hoy añadiré que las piezas de este libro quisieron convencer, desde luego, pero que el libro publicado ahora quiere conversar y comprender».

Above all, our working materials have changed: the reality in which we operate and our ability to pass judgment on it. I have often said that there are no two more opposite ways of describing the world than those of the novelist and the newspaper columnist, for one writes from uncertainty (writes to discover) and the other, on the contrary, writes from certainty and wants to share it (writes to convince). Today I would add that the pieces in this book certainly sought to convince, but that the book now published seeks to converse and understand."
