John Laredo is a twenty-eight-year-old recently unemployed married man who takes to romanticizing his past and considers what it means for his future. On the day after his birthday, he sets out to take one more trip to yesteryear, reconnecting with friends and foes alike, but as he does, he finds out that it's not how he remembers it at all and that he may have made a grave mistake in doing so.
