Overview
I Certainly Practice Painting... brings together Alberto Giacometti's reflections, interviews, and essays on painting, drawing, and the creative process. Although celebrated primarily as a sculptor, Giacometti regarded painting as central to his artistic practice and to his relentless pursuit of seeing the world truthfully. Through conversations, diary fragments, and short essays, he explores observation, perception, technique, and the discipline of looking, revealing the ideas that shaped his work across every medium. Rich with practical insight and philosophical depth, the volume offers a rare opportunity to encounter one of the twentieth century's greatest artists in his own words.
