Giacomo Casadio was a solitary man with a melancholic temperament, an even greater imagination, and the talent of visionaries. He had few friends, and by the time he was forty-five years old, he had never had a girlfriend. Until the gypsy woman crossed his path at a village festival. Giacomo had noticed her for a long time: she was tall, had a slender body, and black hair that went down to her waist. He had always avoided her, restrained by arrogance; but when the gypsy woman approached him, she read their future in the palm of his hand, and soon after, they got married.
