Este es el relato de mi propia búsqueda. De lo que encontré en ella... Y de lo que perdí. Una antigua leyenda visigoda cuenta que, antes de que los árabes conquistaran la Península Ibérica, siete monjes tuvieron una visión divina en la que se les advertía del peligro. Los religiosos abandonaron el reino, no solo para proteger sus vidas, sino también para poner a salvo importantísimas reliquias y riquezas que pertenecieron a los reyes visigodos de Toledo. Los siete monjes cruzaron por el mar, hacia el oeste, y al llegar a tierra fundaron la mítica ciudad de la Cíbola, capital de las llamadas «siete ciudades de oro».
Nunca se supo dónde localizar la mítica Cíbola, sin embargo, múltiples aventureros la buscaron a lo largo de los siglos, pero ninguno fue capaz de desentrañar sus secretos, nadie logró localizarla... hasta ahora.
La carrera contrarreloj por alcanzar la Ciudad de los Hombres Santos provocará el enfrentamiento final entre el Cuerpo Nacional de Buscadores y Lilith, la sombra oculta tras los planes de Voynich. En el proceso, Tirso descubrirá la verdad sobre la muerte de su padre, conocerá nuevos aliados y enemigos y sufrirá por culpa del amor y la traición. No solo la supervivencia del CNB está en juego, también la propia vida de Tirso y la de sus seres queridos; así como el control de un poder inimaginable oculto en las ruinas de Cíbola.
