Isabel San Sebastian returns to the historical novel with a new adventure alongside her protagonist Alana de Coaña, The Visigoth, her most famous character, and offers a fascinating journey to the origin of a pilgrimage that changed the history of the world.
It is 827 and Alfonso II, “the Chaste”, king of Asturias, received extraordinary news: in a forest near Iria Flavia, a port city in Galicia, they seem to have found St. James’ remains. Could it be possible? The king decides to travel there in order to clarify the mystery.
In the procession there are noble men immersed in turbulent dealings, fierce soldiers, monks carrying shady secrets ... an accurate reflection of that turbulent time, whose main character is a king determined to save his kingdom. And Alana who rides next to him hoping to find her missing son, and without knowing it, holds the task of narrating the first Pilgrimage to Compostela.
