Tras ser dado de alta, Aurelio es contratado por la colonia para cuidar a cuatro pacientes: Kiki, quien sólo sabe decir «jamón»; Miguel, quien tiene la costumbre de desnudarse en cualquier lugar; un hombre anciano que nunca habla y a quien nadie visita; y Paco, quien sólo quiere cantar canciones rancheras y hablar de su guapa novia. Aurelio lleva un diario como parte de su tratamiento psiquiátrico y es gracias a lo que escribe día con día que conoceremos a «las larvas», como él les llama. Un día Aurelio se entera de que habrá kermés en el pueblo y logra, con mentiras, convencer al doctor Quesada de que los deje salir, pues su misión es introducir a «las larvas» en los placeres del cuerpo llevándolos al burdel que visita con regularidad. Esa misma noche tres de ellos se pierden. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION After being discharged, Aurelio is hired by the colony to care for four patients: Kiki, who can only say “ham”; Miguel, who has a habit of undressing anywhere; an elderly man who never speaks and whom no one visits; and Paco, who only wants to sing ranchera songs and talk about his beautiful girlfriend. One day, Aurelio finds out that there will be a fair in the village and manages, with lies, to convince Dr. Quesada to let them go out, as his mission is to introduce “the larvae” to the pleasures of the body by taking them to the brothel he regularly visits. That same night, three of them get lost. With Kiki as his only companion, our protagonist embarks on an adventure to find the three missing boys and bring them all back to the colony.
