Overview
Lilo Rasch-Naegele had close ties to Stuttgart's cultural and intellectual circles; in the 1930s to the art historian Professor Hans Hildebrand and his wife Lily, a Hölzel scholar and also an artist. In the 1950s she was involved in the Bubenbad Circle, led by Professor Willi Baumeister.
Lilo Rasch-Naegele had a remarkable influence and understanding of the role of women in society, an issue that was central to her work. She also made a name for herself as a graphic designer in advertizing and as an illustrator, commissioning work from respected companies and publishing houses. Her work won her particular recognition at a national level, both in a commercial sense and in formal exhibitions.
This monograph contains contemporary insights into Lilo Rasch-Naegele's creative personality, as well as presenting examples of her graphic art and her oil paintings.
