The work recovers the complete version of “Revolución en el jardín”, where the author narrates with irony his stay in Cuba after winning the Casa de las Américas Prize twice (1963 and 1964) and his clashes with the island’s political expectations. It also includes “Los compañeros de viaje”, about his participation in a symposium funded by the United States, along with other pieces that portray, through humor and satire, the ideological struggle to win over Latin American intellectuals.
