De todos estos recuerdos y sensaciones actuales y pretéritas que giran alrededor de la cocina nace precisamente este libro, en el que encontrarás recetas de guisos fabulosos y recetas de bocadillos únicos elaborados en gran parte con las sobras de las recetas de los guisos. Tenemos que aprovechar las mal llamadas "sobras", porque cada resto es una oportunidad que desechamos para ser más creativos (la clave de la supervivencia humana, si me permitís ponerme intensa) y más felices. Os aseguro que una "sobra bien pensada” te transporta al paraíso de lo buena que te puede llegar a quedar metiéndola entre dos panes.
Por último, este libro, además de guisos y bocadillos, y de guisos que se meten en bocadillos, también incluye recetas de mis panes favoritos hechos en casa, alguna que otra guarnición florida (para elevarlos a la categoría de bocadillazo) y salsas caseras buenísimas que os van a servir no solo para vuestros bocatas sino para todo lo que se os ocurra.

For me, those memories bring back lived moments and that special feeling of being cared for through food—the devotion of the people who set aside part of their day to cook for us and make sure we were healthy, strong, and happy. Thank you, Mom; thank you, Dad ;)
This book was born from all those memories and sensations—past and present—that revolve around the kitchen. Inside, you’ll find recipes for fabulous stews and one-of-a-kind sandwiches made largely from the leftovers of those stews. It’s time to reclaim so-called “leftovers,” because every bit we save is an opportunity to be more creative—and happier. A well-planned leftover can be pure heaven once it’s tucked between two slices of bread.
Finally, along with stews, sandwiches, and stews tucked inside sandwiches, this book includes recipes for my favorite homemade breads, a few beautiful side dishes to take your sandwiches to the next level, and delicious homemade sauces you’ll want to use not only in your sandwiches, but in just about everything else.
