Overview

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

“A literary prodigy that reminds you of the greatness of being alive... One of the best writers of his generation.” —Inés Martín Rodrigo

The sun rises in Valdeplata after the summer verbena. Across the meadow, the bodies of dead Estonians, a torn ticket, a red bicycle, a broken lollypop, a bloodied shoe. The Orchestra played all night, children, young, and old danced to the same songs, keeping different secrets. The Count kept them, an old man who could die at any moment (and with him an ancient world of magic and fear.) Also Ventura, the truck driver that finally pulled out his sequins dress, or Placeres, dreaming of vengeance and forbidden love. They danced and they drank, and it seemed as if old lovers, mortal enemies, lost youths could understand each other.

Music, that resides in and out of them, and also of you, tells the story of this summer night. A music that reminds the living they are alive and a music that summons the dead. A melody that mixes everything in this valley, dawning with unveiled secrets on the grass, as if a giant hand had finally been opened.
