Redbeard the privateer is given a mission by the governor of Saint-Domingue: to investigate mysterious attacks on French plantations. This time, however, he’ll have to set sail without his old companion Baba who, sickened by the cruelty of colonial authority towards black people, leaves the crew to assist escaped slaves instead. Not long after, a slave hunter offers a partnership to Redbeard, in order to find Baba and his new friends – and kidnaps the captain’s granddaughter to force his hand!
