Alex Müller, un exitoso médico argentino radicado en Nueva York, ve un día una pintada en el frente de su casa donde se lo acusa de nazi. Alex Müller, a successful Argentine doctor based in New York, one day sees graffiti on the front of his house accusing him of being a Nazi. Confused, he decides to investigate the past of his grandfather, a diplomat who left Germany in the middle of the war to settle in Mar Chiquita, Córdoba. Alex takes advantage of a planned trip to Buenos Aires and decides to travel to Mar Chiquita to investigate his family and enjoy the properties of the lagoon’s water. But upon his arrival, not only is there a very strange silence surrounding his grandfather Marthin Müller, but Coralina Carreño, a young woman concerned about her son’s health and hiding an unspeakable secret, appears in his life.
Told in two time periods, World War II and the present day, this fascinating novel draws readers into a room at the Hotel Viena, where Marthin Müller and his wife Amalia live their splendid love without letting themselves be defeated by circumstances. And back in the present, we are immersed in the relationship between Alex and Coralina, who unravel the threads of a story full of secrets that struggle to be revealed.
