Overview
Sinners meets F. Gary Gray’s Friday in this supernatural action-comedy about two brothers fighting demon hordes (and each other) in South Central LA.
Japan, 1642. A ragtag army of villagers has sacrificed much to defeat the supernatural force that threatened to engulf the world, sealing the demon brothers Toko and Koto within two magical stone monoliths. Now these monoliths must be guarded forevermore, lest the evil reawaken.
Los Angeles, 1995. What idiot left two big-ass rocks in an old storage unit?
For brothers and professional movers Damon and Andrew Hicks, the only thing harder than getting these stupid rocks into a pickup truck is getting along with each other—the two are polar opposites, and every job is a battle. But when a tense encounter with a cop ends in the demons Toko and Koto breaking free from their prisons, the brothers’ day goes from bad to catastrophic.
As the two demons spread their corrupting influence throughout LA, Damon and Andrew will have to outrun, outlast, and outfox a growing supernatural horde. Their only weapons? Quick-thinking, sharp tongues, and a loyal squad. It’ll have to be enough.
From actor-comedians Damon Wayans Jr. and Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, award-winning writer David F. Walker, and artist Ben Bishop comes an adult graphic novel that blends together the very best of 90s nostalgia—from buddy comedies to shonen anime—to create something totally new.
