With a common theme of making a new life in Manchester, this is an important account of a successful multi-cultural community in an ever-divided world. Each household’s story is accompanied by a full colour portrait in front of their homes, and their occupations and birthplaces are compared to those who first occupied the houses in 1911, over 100 years ago.
