Overview
Set in a cozy seaside town full of sugar, salt air, and summer dreams, this romance follows a girl torn between family duty and first love when rival candy shops—and a charming musician—complicate everything. A sweet, swoony story about finding your own flavor.
Piper Lee doesn't have time for chasing dreams. Always the dependable one, she spends all her time juggling responsibilities at home and at her grandpa's classic candy store, The Island Sweet Shop. But when she meets a charming musician, Beckett Wright, she decides to take a chance on a whirlwind day together. Their connection is instant...until Piper discovers Beckett's family has opened a rival candy store.
Beckett came to Port Pelican to help his aunt open her business and prove that he's the complete opposite of his fraud of a father. And selfless Piper can't fathom betraying her family. But as their families go to war, they become each other's only solace from the craziness.
As Beckett learns of Piper's dreams to become a chef, and Piper helps Beckett figure out his own path, their connection grows. With an important end-of-summer event on the horizon for their shops, Piper and Beckett must decide what truly matters and whether they can find their own sweet spot, despite the odds.
