A scientist with a flair for marketing and a drive for global impact, Allgood came to care deeply about the millions of people around the world who were getting sick and dying from lack of access to safe water. But his scientific background and his reputation as the “blue-eyed prince” who was always charging to the rescue weren’t going to be enough to make a meaningful difference in the issue of water purification. He had much to learn before he could even begin to accomplish what he believed God was calling him to do.
In Thirsty for a Miracle, Allgood recounts how he overcame multiple difficulties and hurdles, including his own ego and past mistakes, to join with others in bringing clean water to developing countries, conflict zones, and areas hit by natural disasters where millions of the world’s poorest people were suffering because the only water they had was dirty, polluted or toxic.
