Overview
A conwoman teams up with her ex-girlfriend for a second chance at the heist that broke up their crew, fueled by a powerful desire to eat the rich in this unforgettable sapphic thriller from the author of You'll Never Forget Me.
Four years after a heist gone wrong, Kajal Rao is fresh off Rikers and ready for revenge. But her former crew has been shattered by the impact.
Before, it was desperation and rage that brought them together. Drowning in predatory loan debt, Kajal, her sister Kalyani, girlfriend Alia Arora, and college friend Beatrix Bell hatched a dicey plan to steal the money directly from Hoffman Bank’s overstuffed pockets. But when the dust settled, Kajal was in jail alone and the rest were worse off than when they started.
Now, Kajal’s plan is bigger than before. She’s had four years to plot and she’s not just interested in the money anymore. She’s ready to send a clear message of vengeance to the CEO, Benjamin Hoffman, because this time, it’s personal. Once released from prison, Kajal immediately finds her way back to her ex-girlfriend Alia, who has been doing some scheming of her own. They pull together a new ragtag crew. But this time around, the tension between Kajal and Alia—which used to be source of strength—gives them pause.
Haunted by the ghost of the heist gone wrong, the new team will have to navigate increased security, personal betrayals, and their own complicated pasts as they decide how far they are willing to go for the scheme—and for each other.
