Two young girls face the half-built Berlin Wall and hold hands. One of them remains in the East and the other in the West. It is August 23, 1961, and the Wall has been in place barely ten days, but it is already dividing Rosemarie’s neighborhood from Kriemhild’s, and they do not know when they will see each other again.
But there isn’t a wall capable of splitting a good friendship. Elena had just moved to Berlin from Madrid when she discovers, at the small museum where she works, a photograph that captures her attention and curiosity, and drives her to investigate the true story behind that moment and their protagonists. What are they really hiding? Were they reunited? Is this a shot of a genuine farewell?
